Pennsylvania United’s Deep Canvass on Track to Reach 500,000 Voters, with 3x Increase on Voter Turnout vs. Conventional Canvassing

Pennsylvania United – Right to Counsel rally in Pittsburgh
Pennsylvania United, MVP’s organizational “anchor partner” in Western PA which “empowers working-class families in Western PA through member-led chapters,” is running a deep canvass program reaching thousands of voters per day — which is on track to reach over half a million voters by Election Day.
Since 2020, PA United has run one of the most rigorous field programs in the region, which they believe shows a new path forward – one in which deep canvassing not only persuades voters but expands the overall electorate. PA United’s deep canvassing work in Pennsylvania has demonstrated a 4.7% increase in voter turnout — more than triple the 0.5-1.5% turnout impact of conventional canvassing.
Soon after the election, no matter the outcomes, each local PA United membership chapter will host a post-election house party to “provide community, make meaning of the result, and map out action steps going into 2025” — a testament to the fact that, when we invest in local organizing, we are investing in power that grows and change that can last well beyond Election Day.
