Minnesota

ISAIAH, Unidos MN, Faith in Minnesota, Indivisible Twin Cities - Video of Reverend Dr. Karen McKinney of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church at rally with other Minnesota clergy leaders and residents demanding justice for Renee Good. “They are not welcome in Minnesota. They are not needed in Minnesota. So get ICE out.”

ISAIAH - Video of roughly 100 clergy at Target headquarters in downtown Minneapolis calling on CEO Brian Cornell to protect Target employees and customers from the ongoing ICE and Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) surge in Minnesota. ISAIAH is now slated to speak with Target on Monday, 1/19!

National - Indivisible ICE Out for Good Rallies

New Hampshire: ACLU of New Hampshire - Filed a lawsuit against ICE to compel them to provide training materials that confirm that their actions in partnership with local NH law enforcement are in line with local, state, and federal law, and do not infringe on civil rights and liberties. 

Wisconsin: Citizen Action of Wisconsin - Photos and news coverage of protests from across the state. “Wisconsinites on Friday took to the streets to protest a fatal shooting in Minneapolis by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent.

Maine: Maine People’s Alliance - Photos and video from vigil and rally. “We must continue fighting and holding the Trump administration accountable for this terror and violence.”

Policy Wins

North Carolina: Siembra NC - Campaign victory. After months of organizing, Siembra NC and The Coalition to Stop Avelo have successfully pushed Avelo Airlines to stop running deportation flights. Read more at MVP’s storybank

New York: NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani and NY Gov. Kathy Hochul announced a plan for free child care for two-year-olds. MVP partners Jews for Racial and Economic Justice and NY Working Families Party helped elect Mayor Mamdani. Read more at MVP’s storybank. 

New Hampshire: 603 Forward, New Hampshire Youth Movement - Housing victory. On December 16, 2025, the Manchester Board of Mayor and Aldermen passed an updated, pro-housing land use code. Read more at MVP’s storybank.

New Jersey: Make the Road New Jersey - Immigration policy victory. The New Jersey state legislature passed an immigration protection package on the last day of the 2025 session. Read more at MVP’s storybank

Virginia: In 2025, groups including New Virginia Majority, CASA in Action, and UNITE HERE Virginia all helped win full Democratic control of the state government. Thanks to those efforts, Virginia’s new legislature just passed four constitutional amendments, which will each face referendum votes in April or November, to: 1) Enable the legislature to enact congressional redistricting, 2) Protect abortion rights, 3) Restore voting rights for returning citizens, and 4) Protect same-sex marriage.
