Yael Maizel

Philanthropic Advisor

Yael joins MVP with a background in organizing, fundraising, and advocacy. She spent more than a decade at J Street, most recently as West Coast Director, where she led the organization’s fundraising, leadership development, and political engagement strategy across the region.

After leaving J Street, she worked to co-found Jewish Partnership and Jewish Action for Los Angeles, a C3 and C4 organization focused on organizing and building a political home for progressive Jewish Angelenos in local politics and policy.

Alongside this work, Yael serves as Co-Chair of the LA chapter of Chamber of Mothers, a nationwide group organizing caregivers around paid leave, affordable childcare, and maternal health.

Yael lives in the Beverly Grove neighborhood of Los Angeles with her family and loves cooking, crafting, and having dance parties with her kids.
