Robbie Dunning
As Operations Manager at MVP, Robbie (they/them) supports the Operations team to keep our complex behind-the-scenes clockwork running smoothly. Detail-oriented and tech-savvy, they help the ship run on time and appreciate the power of a good spreadsheet. Like any respectable love story, Robbie showed up to help mail out hoodies in 2016 and just never left. Their work has ranged from data management and graphic design to event planning and grantmaking. They are happy to have a more focused task list these days, namely in legal, finance, and data.
Outside the office, Robbie is a poet, performer, artist, and educator with a strong theater background and an abiding love for working with children of all ages. They competed at National Poetry Slams 2015-2017 and are perhaps best known for their poem “Lipstick, After Francine Hendrickson” which garnered more than 1 million views on Facebook after being shared by George Takei. Born and raised in rural Virginia, Robbie believes in the power of representation, storytelling, and creative community.
They currently live in Western Massachusetts with their wife, two rambunctious cats, and a moderately cultivated vegetable patch.
