We can win 2026, pull back from authoritarianism, and build toward a Progressive Era — but only if we fund a movement powerful, popular, and compelling enough to win hearts, minds, and majorities.
Problem: The right has funded and built a stronger movement.
Right-wing funders have steadily set the stage to win governing power and policy change by building:
Grassroots power through groups like Turning Point USA and Leadership Institute.
Cultural power through groups like PragerU, Teneo, and a sprawling online media ecosystem.
Institutional power via Heritage, The Federalist Society, ALEC, CPI, and a Trump-ified GOP.
Solution: Fund a bold, big-tent progressive movement that can win.

Three Connected Strategies
To stop authoritarianism, win majorities, and deliver progress long-term, we must invest now to:
Strategy #1: Expand Local Organizing
Expand local organizing year-round, in every key state around the country.
Strategy #2: Scale Up New Media
Scale up new media to shape worldviews and win hearts and minds en masse.
Strategy #3: Embolden Democrats
Embolden Democrats to fight for bold, popular agendas that can win back voters we’ve lost.
Three Overarching Goals
MVP is funding organizing and movement-building groups working toward these goals:
Goal #1: Beat Back Autocracy
Undercut authoritarianism and pull democracy back from the brink by maximizing civil resistance, defending communities under attack, and blocking the MAGA agenda.
Goal #2: Push for Policy Progress
Defeat regressive policies and push for a progressive agenda at the state and local levels through ballot measures and legislative, executive, and judicial action.
Goal #3: Win Electoral Power
End MAGA rule and set course for a new era of progress, by winning House, Senate, Presidential, and down-ballot races from 2025-2028 and beyond.
2026 is our greatest chance in recent memory to mount a massive push for historic Democratic turnout — and a safe and secure election.
Our five-phase plan takes us from voter preparation to the first day of early voting, to ensuring that every ballot is counted and certified. We are rallying and aligning local and national progressive and Democratic-aligned organizations and funders to collaboratively create, fund, and execute this critical opportunity.
