2026: Beating Back the ICE Occupation

When ICE surged into Minnesota, 28,000 well-trained nonviolent observers met them, armed only with phones and orange whistles. Two days later, ICE killed Renee Good. In response, Minnesotans organized the first general strike in an American city since 1946. Over 300,000 people participated.

This didn’t happen spontaneously. Local organizers created this strategy. Here is their story.

Key wins included paid family leave, a new child tax credit, universal school meals, 100% clean energy, free college for low-income families, labor reforms, reproductive rights, voting rights, and driver's licenses for all.
