The Wisconsin Supreme Court was not the only thing on voters’ minds in the Badger State’s April 1 elections!
In Racine, MVP partner Vote Yes For Our Kids led a successful campaign to pass the Racine Unified School District (RUSD) referendum by 941 votes, ensuring $190 million of funding over five years. This will allow the district to maintain its class sizes, retain quality support staff, and ensure school safety.
To pass the referendum, they held multiple town halls with the Parent Leadership Network and Racine Interfaith Coalition; distributed lawn signs; mobilized supporters in a Day of Action at the State Capitol; and held neighbor-to-neighbor canvasses.
