Jose Salvador Orellana
Jose Salvador Orellana (he/they) is a Donor Organizing Manager at Movement Voter Project, where they focus on building and supporting volunteer donor organizing on the West Coast to sustain local grassroots partners. A proud queer, first-generation Salvadoran American from Delano, CA—the birthplace of the Farm Labor Movement—Jose draws deeply from their connection to social justice movements rooted in California’s Central Valley.
Before joining MVP, Jose co-founded LOUD For Tomorrow and LOUD For Tomorrow Action Fund, youth-led organizations dedicated to empowering BIPOC communities and young people in rural California. Under Jose’s leadership, LOUD grew into a dynamic grassroots force, registering young voters, nurturing local queer leaders, and collaborating with artists and culture workers to reimagine the future of the Central Valley.
With a background in youth organizing and fundraising, Jose helps bridge the gap between philanthropy and frontline grassroots movements, ensuring resources reach the communities driving change.
Outside of MVP, Jose enjoys photography, running, and binge-watching comedy series. They are always excited to engage in conversations about community power, grassroots organizing, and creating sustainable support for movements led by those most impacted.
