Why doesn’t the Battleground Alliance (the coalition to flip the House) have a public website or brand?

Historically, work to pressure Congress and hold reps accountable are most effective when they are seen in the public eye as being local, homegrown efforts. Unfortunately, publicly branding any kind of national coordination effort doesn’t always help — and as we found during the first Trump administration, it can actually sometimes hurt.

The national Battleground Alliance has an important role to play in coordinating strategy, communications, and fundraising in support of the state and local organizations — but there has been a strategic decision to take a back seat publicly, to ensure that the year-round state and local organizing groups can rightly take in the spotlight.
