Hallie Montoya Tansey

Hallie is MVP’s Chief Development Officer. She leads MVP’s work to advise, organize, and steward our community of donors so that, in turn, we can provide our grantee partners the resources to do their best work.
Prior to joining MVP, she served as a research and strategy consultant to non-profits and philanthropy, founded a company, The Target Labs, that provided data analytics to Democratic and progressive campaigns, served as the Obama Administration’s Deputy White House Liaison at the US Department of Education, and led organizing efforts in five states for the 2008 Obama campaign. Early in her career, Hallie co-founded the League of Young Voters, a national non-profit organization that worked to engage young people of color in the political process.
She lives in Oakland, CA, with her husband and two children, and will drop everything to join you at karaoke.
