Annie Lipsitz

Donor Communications Manager

Annie Lipsitz brings years of experience in storytelling, writing, persuasive messaging, training, facilitation, and nonprofit fundraising to the MVP team. Over her nearly 20-year professional career, she has worked in progressive philanthropy, electoral organizing, sexual and reproductive health and rights, youth development, and even on Capitol Hill.

She is a co-founder of Girls Rock! DC, a music education and power-building organization for girls and gender-expansive youth in DC, where she served on the Leadership Team for nearly 12 years and honed her skills in enthusiastic hyping, call-and-response cheers, and camp counseloring. Most recently, she served as Senior Writer and Lead Trainer at a state-based voting rights and electoral organizing nonprofit in her home state of Georgia.

Annie lives in Washington, DC, and will start (and likely close out) any dance party at any time, anywhere. She is deeply committed to dismantling intersecting systems of oppression, working towards collective liberation, and a free DC.
