Right now, the local organizing and movement-building groups that MVP funds are working hard to fight back against Trump and MAGA.
They are building power and winning hearts, minds, and critical elections. But right now, they are facing a huge drop-off in funding after the boom of a presidential election year.

Our fantastic volunteer network provides wrap-around support for hosts through every step of planning.
What’s an MVP party like?
Our parties – both online and in-person – create a shared sense of community and hope. At these events, people learn about what MVP and our grassroots partners are doing to block the MAGA agenda and win the midterms and beyond. Guests hear stories from the field, get answers to their questions, and have the opportunity to join in financial support.
Who do I invite?
Friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, your alumni group, your weightlifting club… MVP parties can have 10-500+ attendees. It’s your party, so you and your co-hosts decide.
How much do I have to raise?
We ask hosts to set a goal of raising $10,000. We can help you put together a host team and guest list to get there. If you are worried about that goal, let’s talk – we can also connect you with a community host team.
What’s the timing?
We suggest starting to plan your party at least four weeks out, ideally six. Online parties usually last an hour. In-person parties are longer so that people can hang out more.
How does it work?
We’ll connect you with an experienced party coordinator and tons of resources. Check out this planning checklist and event outlines for an example.
I don’t like fundraising.
Many people don’t! Raising money for local organizing and movement-building groups is a very powerful form of activism. Ask yourself if you might tackle it as a new challenge. And if fundraising really isn’t for you, we also need many other kinds of volunteers.
Where do I learn more?
