How much funding has MVP distributed? What is the current goal?
Updated September 6, 2024
Zooming Out: Overall Stats
Since 2016, MVP has helped move over $128 million in partisan funds to 600+ groups in 40+ states.
This would not be possible without the incredibly generous support of over 50,000 donors across the country. Thank you!
2023-2024 Election Cycle
Our ambitious goal for the 2023-2024 election cycle is to raise and move at least $100 million in partisan funds to grassroots electoral groups.
We have now moved over $55 million in partisan funds this cycle.
Here are concrete examples of how our investments turn into votes on the ground, in the places and races that matter most.
What is the Current Level of Need?
We (conservatively) estimate that the grassroots electoral field has a current partisan budget gap of at least $200 million. We have directly calculated gaps of over $120 million from our own grantee partners, and this is only from an incomplete set of responses.
If this all sounds like a lot, it is. But consider that the Kamala Harris campaign has raised over $540 million from July 21 to August 25, and AdImpact estimates that 2023-2024 political ad spending will top $10.2 billion.
Help MVP Fund the Ground Game!
We need a well-funded Presidential campaign, and (to some extent) we also need outside spending on political ads. The essential missing piece is the grassroots ground game.
Local organizers are the best voter mobilizers – but right now they are deeply underfunded.
We invite you to join us in changing that.
