About Movement Voter Project
MVP works to strengthen progressive power at all levels of government by helping donors – big and small – support the best and most promising local community-based organizations in key states, with a focus on youth and communities of color.
Who we’re calling
We are calling MVP donors to thank them for donating through MVP to fund grassroots organizing. We’re not asking for money — we’re thanking them for giving money!
Why aren’t we calling voters? We believe local, community-based organizations are best at turning out voters in their communities, and that the best thing we can do is FUND them. That’s why our focus is on calling MVP supporters, who hold the key to funding these groups.
Why it matters
Our intention is to make a personal, authentic connection with each donor, so that they:
- Feel seen, appreciated, and welcomed as part of the MVP community.
- See that their contribution matters — that it truly makes a difference.
- Gain a greater sense of connection to MVP and the groups we fund.
- Become more likely to engage further, by donating, spreading the word, or volunteering.
How it works
- Sign up for an upcoming phonebank »
- The phonebank will be over Zoom, and will include an MVP overview; a walkthrough of process, script, & resources; and call time! (with real-time staff & volunteer support if you run into questions)
- After your first phonebank, you can join for more, OR you can request a call sheet to make calls on your own time! Streamlined process coming soon — for now, email [email protected] and we’ll set you up.
