The Art of the Relational One-to-One: Organizing Through Conversation

Tue, Jul 21 ⸱ 4-5:30 PT • 5-6:30 MT • 6-7:30 CT • 7-8:30 ET
Virtual Event ⸱ Zoom link shared after registration

The relational one-to-one is a structured conversation that builds trust and uncovers the values, motivations, and experiences that move someone to act. This training will specifically focus on learning how to conduct relational one-to-one conversations that build trust, center active listening and make meaningful invitations that help people find their place in the movement and within MVP.

MVP Donor Organizing staff Shawnna Weighill and Natalie Somerson will hone in on the AEIOU framework (Agitate, Educate, Innoculate, Organize, Uplift) with a discussion on how to apply this directly to MVP donor organizing work.

This training is open to all and is focused on a foundational skill that can serve volunteers in any leadership role. It is specifically targeted for our active volunteers who are in roles dealing with 1:1 conversations such as intake Coordinators, volunteer donor advisors, and volunteer community organizers.
