MVP Briefing: Before Inauguration Day

Thu, Jan 16 ⸱ 1-2pm ET • Noon-1pm CT • 11am-Noon MT • 10-11am PT
Virtual Event ⸱ Zoom link shared after registration

Join Movement Voter PAC for a pre-inauguration briefing on how MVP partners are gearing up to block Trump’s agenda, protect vulnerable communities, and win in 2026 and 2028 — along with more reflections on how we evolve, improve, and innovate our efforts to build long-term political power moving forward.

Featured MVP grantee partners:

  • Grecia Lima, Community Change Action: CCA “builds the power of low-income people, especially people of color, to create a multiracial democracy and a fair economy where everyone can thrive.” Grecia will discuss CCA’s local member organizations’ plans to organize for immigrant rights, economic freedom, and more during the Trump presidency.
  • Fran Hutchins, Equality Federation: Equality Federation is “an advocacy accelerator rooted in social justice, building power in our network of state-based lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) advocacy organizations.” Fran will discuss Equality Federation’s state-based affiliates’ efforts to defend and advance LGBTQ+ rights in the challenging era ahead.
  • Shoshanna Israel, Working Families Party: WFP is “building a multiracial party of working people to transform our country.” She will discuss emerging plans for a new “Battleground Alliance”: A national coalition, fueled by year-round local organizing, to stop the Trump agenda, win back the House in 2026, and keep the most competitive seats for the long term.

Notes:

  • We will record this briefing and send it to everyone who registers.
  • We will also hold an optional 30-minute “Office Hours” after the briefing, for more Q&A and discussion with MVP staff.
  • We want to moderate expectations upfront for this briefing. We are all still reeling, analyzing, and strategizing about what comes next. We don’t pretend to have all the answers – but we do know our partners’ efforts to build long-term, bottom-up, multiracial, working-class political power will be essential to surviving the Trump years and staging a powerful comeback in 2026 and 2028.
