Shelby Jackson

Native Voter Fund Advisor

Shelby is passionate about operationalizing strategies that build grassroots progressive power. Shelby comes from project management at Movement Strategy Center and has nearly a decade of experience building operational infrastructure and systems for emerging social justice organizations. Shelby values radical collaboration and operational integrity and actively explores how movement infrastructure can be nimble, responsive and people-centered. Shelby believes the centralization of indigenous people and wisdom is critical to environmental and social justice movement building and is continuously inspired through her work cultivating power with Native organizers. Shelby holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Dartmouth College and is Board Treasurer of Native Youth Leadership Alliance. A member of the Cherokee Nation, Shelby is originally from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and currently resides in Austin, Texas with her best friend Nebula, a beautiful mutt rescue from Taiwan.
