As the VP of Development at MVP, Darrell provides vision and leadership to the major donor advising, donor organizing and communications teams in order to maximize the resources MVP can raise and move into grassroots organizations across the country. As a development executive, he has a fierce passion for the role of bold, strategic philanthropy in fostering a more equitable and just society.
Darrell brings two decades of experience in fundraising, philanthropic advising and nonprofit strategy as the head of development for multiple organizations working on LGBTQ equality, social justice philanthropy and health equity for marginalized communities. He’s a proud cat dad of two fur babies who has New Jersey and NYC roots, but has lived in California for the last 14 years and now resides in sunny San Diego. Outside of work, he serves on the board of Equality California and the National LGBTQ Victory Fund campaign board, enjoys walks through Balboa Park, catching a Padres game, and has an insatiable appetite for travel.
