Special Deputy to the Executive Director

Summary of Position:

This job is not for the faint of heart. This person will work very closely with our Executive Director, Billy Wimsatt – less on scheduling or buying plane tickets, more on helping manage his zillions of people and responsibilities and take as much as you can off his plate every day. This job requires several extremely high level skill sets, because you are basically sharing the job description of the ED, co-managing lots of complex projects, and keeping myriad internal and external stakeholders happy. This person has to LOVE movements, politics, and donor organizing. But it is also a really interesting job that, for the right person, will help prepare you to be an Executive Director one day. Ideally you are based in Western Massachusetts, but anywhere in the ET zone (or elsewhere if you’re a very early riser) is possible for the right person.
